RF Haversine is a powerful application for iPhone and iPad that brings radio propagation and profile analysis to the mobile market. Developed by Cristinel Bontas, this app is designed for professionals in the business and productivity field.
With RF Haversine, users can quickly check the terrain profile between two locations, using elevation data provided by a public server. It also allows users to calculate the radio budget based on the terrain profile and radio parameters. The app can calculate earth bulge, diffraction loss (for the first major obstruction from the profile), and attenuation loss for O2 and Vapour. Additionally, it can calculate fade margin for different radio availability based on the K region.
RF Haversine offers several features to enhance the user experience. Users can email the radio link report and KML file, as well as open the KML file in other compatible applications. For new links, users have the option to use their current location, select a point on the map, or choose from their history. The app also allows users to import new links from CSV files and offers options for imperial units, earth bulge calculation, and showing a 60% Fresnel marker.
